Center activities include:
- Review and synthesize research findings on the characteristics and consequences of preschool program practices.
- Develop and evaluate tools for assessing preschool program practices.
- Conduct research and evaluate the characteristics and consequences of preschool program practices.
- Translate research findings into guidelines, methods, and procedures for implementing evidence-based practices in preschool and child-care settings.
- Develop practice guides for promoting utilization of evidence-based preschool program practices.
- Develop nontraditional early childhood education coursework for early childhood teachers and child-care providers.
- Provide and evaluate teacher and caregiver training for promoting the use of evidence-based early childhood practices.
- Conduct research on the effectiveness of training approaches for promoting the adoption of evidence-based early childhood classroom practices.
