Goals
The goals of the Center for for Excellence in Early Childhood Education are:
- Synthesize research findings focusing on the characteristics of preschool classroom practices
associated with positive child and caregiver functioning.
- Conduct applied research on the characteristics and consequences of effective preschool program practices.
- Demonstrate the provision of exemplary early childhood education for infants, toddlers, and
preschool-age children in preschool and child-care settings.
- Implement and evaluate alternative and nontraditional training methods and procedures
for promoting the adoption and use of evidence-based early childhood education practices.
- Disseminate and promote utilization of evidence-based preschool program practices.
